Forgot the Washer

I got this far....

Everything torqued down....

Then I remembered the plastic washer that goes on the axle before the hub.

Does it have to be there if I have no intentions of using the auto hubs?

I have Warns on it and would rather not open it all back up.

Thanks.

I knew I would forget something

Yes. It keeps the axle from digging into the hub!

I'm really not laughing at you, but I did chuckle when I read this because I did the same thing last week! To both sides. I told my son that the mistake was just an excuse for more practice since we've never done it before.

I wish I would have painted like you. It looks really sharp.

My feelings are hurt...

I was doing this about 2:30 last night, hoping to make progress after many weeks waiting on parts and tools. Maybe I can do one less than you???

While I have been waiting I got all the rust off/bought new parts so it would hopefully come apart easier next time. It really makes the rest of it look horrible though. Thanks for noticing the work.

So here it is....

EBC rotors and 7000 green pads, Power Stop calipers ( rear rotors from p/s), XRF Ball Joints,Timken bearing with extra Mobil 1 red grease pumped in, Crown SS brakeline, Evapo-rusted knuckles painted with a gold zinc then top coated, new MC dust shield, and the Gold Warns I had before. Still need to finish the NiCopp lines going to the rear and all the steering linkage/RedHead.
