1956 FORD COE C600 BUILD

Not a lot for me either, just trying to finish the '47 Dodge pickup brakes and wheels.
On the Coe. fitted the fenders preliminarily from Terry's and they are great! Working on a set of Vision 81 19.5" wheels from a fellow in Missouri, but can't figure out how to get them to Michigan.
Regards, Mark.

If I could figure how to post pictures I would it won't upload.
You guys are so luck to be able to do the work yourselves.
My cash envelope empty. I spent more than I bought the truck for.
had:
1)seat belts installed.
2) inside cab roof painted was rusty from fire truck light.
3)new fuel line from bottom of tank with inline filter and cutoff installed before fuel pump.
4)inside the doors were rust, has been sealed.
5) under truck cab has been sealed.
6)rear end installed.
7)new brake booster installed under hood.
8)hitch plate welded on back
9)modern bed cut and welded into a stake bed
Still need wiring and drive it to figure out how fast I am going.

When you say fenders from terry are you talking the steps..... or did you have a set of COE fenders made in fiberglass?

Hi Tom:
Must have been too early in the morning for my post. I meant to say steps, not fenders, although I did buy some original fenders in excellent condition from Terry.
I went to buy the tube steel yesterday for my bed, and the steel supplier was completely dark, except for a guy in the huge warehouse, spray painting a steel rack.
He had a little portable generator and small work light. Massive power failures all over my area due to the high winds. I'll go back beginning of the week, but I think I'll call first.
Regards, Mark.

I did buy some excellent fenders from Terry's. Had a friend doing work out in Washington, and he stopped and picked them up for me on the way back to Michigan.
My original set needed some work, but I didn't want to take the time(nor do I have the skills) to mess with them.
I now have an extra set that I'll sell if some one needs them.
Regards, Mark.

Good for you Mark. I still need both lower running boards if anyone runs across a nice pair or one. I'll eventually try to fix them if I can't find a nice set. Thanks, Ken.

COE - Original Frame - Newer suspension question
I've learned that taking on a COE project is a real test of patience... and by the looks of the related threads a true test of perseverance.
I'm about 50% through a 1950 COE project of my own and was hoping to find out if anyone else has dealt with putting modern suspension and keeping the original frame?
It seams that most everyone is using a van chassis...
With some minor frame mods, I've managed to put a 2007 Crown Vic front suspension under my original F-5 COE frame... and so far I'm super pleased.
btw, my hats off to Dynamic for the amazing amount of steel fab / body work, the results are looking fantastic.

On my 56 crew cab project (picture in my signature) I am also using the crown Vic suspension. Fairly easy to install and has grownto be a popular choice for many.
Thanks for the kind words regarding my work, I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to building things. I tend to build something and don't put much thought into how many projects it's taken me to make my ideas look good the first time.

So I was able to spend some time getting the nose on bus chassis torn down.
Removed the nose sheet metal and headlight support structure. Fought the cab mounts till I won. Pulled and disconnected all the Under hood wiring. Disconnected the heater hoses. And then cut the left hand and right hand inner structure free from the cab.
