The AC in my truck blows nice and cold when underway. At idle on a hot day (and after truck is warmed up), it loses some coldness, but remains cool. If I turn the AC to either of the lower settings, I believe it freezes up the condenser (presumably because there's not enough air blowing across it). Last year I replaced the high side pressure switch, which basically stopped all the cycling of the compressor at idle.
My real question is about the speed of the blower. Any time except for early in the morning, I'm driving with the AC on max and the highest speed the whole time. That could be for 10 minutes or 2 hours. It just doesn't seem like it blows hard enough. I've removed the blower and tried sucking trash out with a vacuum, but there was very little in there. Any hints/suggestions on how to get this thing moving more air? Is there a stronger blower motor available?
