Looking for a Driving Light Mount

Scored a pair of Rigid D2-HD LED driving lights as a Father's Day gift. Wanted to mount them recessed in my front bumper in the spaces between the license plate and the tow hooks.
Has anyone else installed lights in this location? Unfortunately, there's no real structure there to bolt anything to, unless I go back 6 or 8 inches, (..., and my metal fabrication skills are rudimentary, at best.)

I am looking for some sort of aftermarket bracket that can be attached to the top and bottom inside of the bumper, that can span that gap, so that I can bolt the new light to that. (Didn't want to start getting involved with off-road style bumper light bars, etc.)
Rigid customer service hasn't gotten back to me. Also checked with KC Daylighters, Whelan, and Hella and none of them had any suggestions for a mounting bracket. ( KC used have one for '99-'04 Superduties, but it's been discontinued.)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure about that location, but they make a kit that puts them in place of the OEM fog lamps.

What year is the truck? If 11-15, I installed some on mine in that location on a custom bracket. It's not too hard to make. Just need a hacksaw and a trip to the hardware store.

Let me know and I can try and snag a picture

Already have factory fogs. I wanted to use the driving lights to supplement the (IMO) weak Hi-beams, Wanted to be able to at least see the Deer before I hit them.

Ok. What I did was super easy. You just by some angle aluminum at any hardware store. Painted it black, and it bolts up to the top behind the license plate mount.

So it's not a top to bottom piece, but that would block some airflow too.

My lights are perfect, and I have them set to where they actually don't blind people. I am sure part of it is the lower mounting point than some others have on bumpers.

I don't remember the exact length of the bar. Somewhere 12 to 14 inches I think.

And I've considered shimming the lights lower to be a little more centered in the bumper. But I'm happy with the output of the lights.

I need to get something to better bundle the wires.

I ran mine off the wiring provided and then cut and connected to the factory upfitter.

The bar is bolted to two preexisting holes. They are just wider than the license plate frame.

You will have to take the frame out to access it. Also, once you drill the holes on the vertical side to mount it to the truck. Drill the holes in the horizontal side for the lights. And mount just the frames.

I can try and get some measurements but it won't be until this evening.

Thanks. Appreciate the quick response with photos. Now that I 've seen it, it's easy, so I don't need you to go take any extra measurements.

It didn't dawn on me to look under license plate holder. Apparently, the creativity leaks out of my brain when my head is upside-down under the front bumper.

Thanks. Here is a front picture. Only so much room in the parking space to get it. And the rear are perhaps the best addition. I couldn't hardly tell my reverse lights were on before. The deer actually run when the front is all turned on in the neighborhood.

Dual 6" flood lights from Rough Country

The ones in the grill are 30" from Rough Country and the Rigid D2 Driving in the bumper.

Do you have any up close pics of how you mounted those rear lights? I have the same ones ready to go on but couldn't find a suitable location.

Top side of hitch

Bottom side of hitch

I used some of the nuts and washers that were included in the box. I made a trip to Ace and bought a longer bolt. Maybe 40 mm.

I used the outer most holes on the bottom side of the hitch that are roughly 3/4 of an inch. Then using that hole, I had to drill through the top side of the hitch bracket, just large enough for the bolt. Which I think is 3/8ths.

Run the bolt through the bracket, then use one of the nuts to hold it to the bracket, and to help space the light low enough to clear the bumper. You will need to buy a large enough washer to cover the hole on the bottom of the hitch.

Run you bolt through the top and then finish with a small washer and I personally bought Ny-lock nuts to not worry about them loosening from bouncing around.
