cruise control conversion problem
hello, have a 1999 e-450 powerstroke that came without cruise control. After reading some posts I thought all I needed to do was install a used steering column with cruise switchs and be good to go but not so. with my scan tool reading datastream I can see that the switchs produce a separate voltage reading for each switch depression but the cruise does not do anything. Is there a sepparate control module for the cruise or is it all contained in the ecu? anyone ever try this and what did you experience? thank you
