Take Your Teen to Ford's Summer Driving Camp

New, teenage drivers are hitting American highways every day. They need to be prepared for a variety of potential on-road situations. This summer, Ford wants to get them ready - and keep them from learning about driving hazards the hard way.

Having once been a new teenage driver I can/will say without hesitation EVERY teen should have this sort of course as mandatory before they're unleashed to wreck havoc on the rest of the no-driving American public highways.

Also mandatory would be trips to view cars already involved in heavy damage or fatal crashes, listen to how those crashes came to happen, how they might have been prevented.

Follow those sessions up with a stint in an ER to see the bodily injury car crashes can inflict on a wide selection of people, ie: innocent victims, family members of same etc etc.

A bit of a "scared straight" approach yet we require far more training to hold/use a firearm than we do letting hormone-fueled kids pilot 3,500 pound missiles in the lanes right next to us.
