Had an '06 and an '09 with the 4.6 and it is nowhere near this engine.
I think it's fair to compare a given size of an ecoboost engine to a N/A engine of approximately double the displacement. IOW, a 2.7L EB ~~ 5.4L N/A; a 3.5L EB ~~ 7.0L N/A.
I took the decals off my 05 when I bought it. Living in the desert & planning to keep the truck for 10+ yrs I did not want to deal with bad decals later on
