K guys so I just picked up a 1990 bronco custom. I have a few questions about it. Every where I have looked says I have the 351 5.8 but I'm pretty sure its the 302 5.0. Any ideals how I can find out for sure. Also we went up camping g this weekend and I the rear windows were already out. While we were up there the rain started and I needed to put the in and fought like hell to get them in. Now I have clue what the right way is but I got a bitdriver with no bbitand ran it around the rubber tie get it sealed. So what is the best way To get the in.
The engine should have the 5.0 or the 5.8 on the intake manifold,
and I think most 5.8 had the external spare tire carrier, while the 5.0 had the internal spare tire carrier.
The upper intake manifold is cast with the engine size on the passenger side. Never heard of the spare tire carrier meaning before. I have two Broncos with 302 engines and outside tire carriers. Where would the tire be if you had the 300? Do you have a soft top or has someone changed the side windows in the cap? Those windows do not normally come out.
