I have a '97 Expy with an AM/FM cassette stereo. I would like to change to a unit with a single CD and and cassette. I have found one out of a '98. Does anyone know if this will work in mine?
Here are a couple of numbers off of the back of the unit I'm considering. YHNC015305 and YU3F-18C868-AA. Thanks for any and all advice! I really appreciate it!
I don't think that unit is factory. Ford didn't offer an in-dash CD player on the Expedition in '98. I wonder if the Explorer had such a system and this unit came from an Explorer.

Actually, I have not. I do like the looks of this unit, but I just checked Crutchfield and according to their website, this will not fit in a '97. Do you have this unit in your '98? Thanks.
The front of the opening is Double DIn.... the opening slopes downward inside... a Double will fit IF you are willing to break out the dremel with a cutting wheel..... Several Folks have done so.... Once the $$ are available I'm gonna opt for the Pioneer 8800
tyger25,
Can you please tell me about the head unit you put in your 98 Expedition. I have a 98 Expedition EB, and I am not crazy about the small head units that they say will only fit. The opening is so big and these small units look dumb. Also, with the one you displayed also work with the CD changer and back controls?
Feel free to email me.....
Thanks.
