Hey all, I'm new to the forum here. I have a 1997 Expedition that I purchased a DRL kit for; basically it lets the front turn signals double as DRL lights.
The problem is, it needs a switched source that only operates in the "run" position (or only when the truck is running basically) and that is fused at 15 amps. I cant find any fuses switched this way and the few blank spots in the fuseboxes don't have terminals (go figure). The wiring diagrams in my Haynes manual aren't helpful either.
Does anyone know of something I could tap into under the hood, that wouldnt cause too much draw? I'd probably add an inline fuse.
I considered running it to just a manual switch in the cab but I've never ran anything through the firewall before so I'd rather that be a last resort.
