POR-15
Before this winter I hope to do a more permanent type of rust prevention than just a bit of undercoating.
How much POR-15 would be required to paint the entire underside of the Ex? Also, are there similar alternatives out there that don't cost an arm and a leg to buy? If not, I will pay the full price for POR-15.
Cheers and thanks as always for the help,
Nate
You need to clean the underside of the Ex thoroughly before applying POR15. The manufacturer suggests using their cleaner. After everything is clean use POR 15s Metal Ready, it is a rust converter.
POR 15 does not store well, if you store it do so in the refrigerator. Do not open it by the lid, poke a hoe in the can and let it drain into a container, reseal with a screw in the hole. Make sure you are well ventilated, long sleeves, gloves and old clothes. The stuff stains clothes, skin, floors everything.
Brush on heavy, let it dry. The best way to clean up spots on your skin is use the POR15 solvent.
It is great stuff, 2-3 qts will be plenty for the Ex.
