Broken Windshields 1 more time.
Attention all 2002/2003 Explorer/ Mountaineer owners.
A few months ago while washing my 02 Ex I noticed that my Windshield was delaminating. The delamination is occurring on the inside of the window;. It is only visible from the outside however. If you look down the A-Pillar along the rubber gasket that surrounds the windshield you will see the delamination. Mine is delaminating on the passenger side. I spoke to the dealer who quickly wanted to blame it on a stone or some other object striking the glass. Since the damage is on the inside I didn"t buy the dealers answer. So I began looking at other 02/03 Explores in parking lots etc.. I have noticed an alarming number with the same problem. Some are delaminating on the passenger side like mine and others have it on the drivers side. I even noticed new Explorers on the lot that were damaged. Mine was fine when I bought it. This was a relatively new development in my case.
While I 'm griping has anyone else noticed condensation in the Headlights after driving in heavy rain?

I just got my '02 a couple weeks ago. I've never looked for delamination. I'll have to look today after work. What is the solution if I find it occuring? Replacement?
I haven't driven in heavy rain, so I'm not aware of any condensation problem with my vehicle.
