Fixed! The wire I found once put on the NEGATIVE side of the solenoid works perfectly. When it was on the positive side the pumps ran constantly, but once I had it wired up properly all is well. Thanks for everyone's help! Now I get to find out if the tranny works lol

They're all dark colored. The one I can see is yellow, which I have run to the negative side which it then ran for a minute or so before dying again. Now it will start here and there but will eventually die. Hasn't run for more than a minute. Maybe old gas? Maybe gunked up carb?

Ok, did some looking at on the positive side I have three fuseable links: a big red, a big green, and a small white. On the positive I have just the yellow. Is this right?

I suspect the yellow wire is the primary fuel pump power supply and it should go from the big hot lug (same lug that the positive battery cable is connected to) and then run through the inertia switch to the fuel pump relay.

However, between the yellow wire and the starter solenoid should be a 20 guage fusible link and the 20 gauge fusible link is thin and very light blue in color. In other words the main fuel pump power wire is spliced to the fusible link which then attaches to the big hot lug of the starter relay.

Note: ALL fuseable links go on the positive side. After I got them all on the positive side it runs beautifully! Now just need to free up the brakes (they grab as you're driving) and fix the small issues (power window switch, etc) thanks again. I'm already in love with my truck!
