Need help finding Navi Part for a/c

Hi Everyone. This is my first post. I have a 1998 Navi with 169,000 miles on it. A/c has leaks in two hoses. One of the hoses was easy to locate (I found it on Amazon for $94. Repair guy found it for $283!). The other one is proving more difficult. My repair guy gave me part number F75Z19837BD, but when I put in the part number, Amazon says it doesn't fit my Navi. Repair guy already had trouble with one he ordered b/c it didn't fit. BECAUSE IT'S THE WRONG NUMBER! How can I find the equivalent hose to that one but that fits my Navi. Have tried inputting part number at Ford Parts site and find nothing. HELP!

Thank you in advance. It is 100 degrees in Los Angels and I NEED my a/c back up.

The numbers printed on the hoses (or on their labels) are not the part numbers, they're engineering numbers used for manufacturing. The dealer parts department has a cross reference to the part number for repair.

Which specific hoses do you need? Gave you tried looking up aftermarket parts from 4 Seasons (4 Seasons - Home) or on rockauto?

That p/n is the liquid line. Make sure that is correct with your mechanic. There are 3 to choose from on RockAuto.

Amazon is a good place to buy, but a poor resource for reference as to what part fits what vehicle. I've never had a problem on RockAuto with that. You can cross reference the p/n you find on RockAuto on Amazon, in case you're like me and like to utilize the free 2-day shipping as a Prime member, if the pricing is comparable.

Oh, and...

If you can't find the exact hose on Rock Auto etc. Check out a web site call AC Kits dot com. They are located in Phoenix and can rebuild any hose you give to them...and it is usually MUCH less expensive and they do great work. As you can imagine, AC isn't a luxury here it's pretty much life support in Arizona in the summer time. Good luck!
