Can anyone tell me how to get into that bundle of wires going between the drivers door and body for a 2002 Sport Trac? I have a break in the wire that feeds 12v to the passenger windows. If I push the bundle backward the windows work. The flexible rubber jacket goes into a plastic housing and I'm not sure if I need to pull off the door panel and un-hook or unscrew it. Is there a connector inside that plastic thing? Any help is appreciated.

Reason: Incomplete description.
Hmmm, on my 2000 and 2004 Mountaineers the rubber boot was just held in by a tongue and groove system. I just had to compress the boot at one end and wiggle it free to access the discrete wires.
On older Taurii with the round plastic connector there was a 10mm (IIRC) bolt down the middle that, once removed, allowed the connector to be separated, but I don't think that was still used in the Sport Trac.
There is a wire tie holding the boot to the plastic housing. I will assume there is a connector in the housing which seems like it will separate if I can release the little plastic tabs. One tab is against the door and just out of reach, so releasing it may be a challenge. Guess I'll have to go by the old saying " if it's stuck, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway".
