Well, it's been fun

Well after my 6.0 was stolen beginning of June, I am back in a super duty. Hate to say it but I went with a 2011 6.7l F250 Lariat FX4. I loved my 6.0, I love the 6.0 in general. Awesome engine once a few issues are fixed. But after dropping 10k on my 6.0 in the last year fixing basically all the issues a 6.0 can have, I just can't go through that again. This 2011 has a brand new 6.7l and turbo replaced by Ford with a 2yr warranty. So about 5000 miles on the engine and turbo. 137k on the body and drive train. It's tuned, deleted and had 5" exhaust. The dealer is even giving me all the parts removed from deleting the dpf and egr and the factory exhaust. Yeah I could of got a low miles 6.0 and dropped the money into it to bullet proof it, but I've been down that road. Time for a new adventure.

the 6.7 forum is b-o-r-i-n-g

my goodness they want a lot for the new trucks... I can't see (yet) paying another 50% over what the '07 cost us.

Heh, heh, heh...

I rest my case

Isn't anybody pulling their motor apart up there, just to figure out why they built the intake/exhaust backwards???!

Oh wait, usually you figure that stuff out because something else broke, and I guess they just aren't doing that...

But they are just soooo dang quiet -- don't you want to have a 6.0 sound loaded on your built-in trick MP3 player, just to listen to something that sounds like an engine?!

Alright, enough -- I'll probably buy one before I die, since lordy knows the 6.0 isn't going first, not with the low miles we put on him...

Dang, I'd sure like to get one of those newer Fords with the 6.7. They're freaking nice rides. I just wish Ford wouldn't have gone with the front grill design that they did. I personally just can't seem to come around to liking it. Oh well, I hope I can eventually warm up to the over/under headlights and big front as that 6.7 sure is super nice. Enjoy that new ride!

Best of luck with the 6.7.

I just recently, a few days ago, found out my son's friend's father is a diesel specialist at a local Ford dealership. I started talking to him and he was telling me horror stories about 6.7s. He put it as a ticking time bomb. He personally knows of 5 incidents where people brought their 6.7s in for out of warranty repair and the bill was over 20,000 dollars. He said the trucks sat in the lot for about 6 months each. When the trucks were finally picked up it was not by the person who brought them there, it was the bank doing a repo.

This is all third hand knowledge, just relaying what I was told.

If this was a major issue the 6.7 forum would be on fire by now.

All of us will someday move on to another truck, but getting one stolen is a sure indication.... Have fun and visit often.
