A/C headache
I'm at whits end. Ac is leaking where the 2 lines go into the condenser. I went to Ford and bought OEM o-rings thinking it would be an easy fix. HA! New o-rings were put in by a mom and pop garage. Still leaking. Guy said it wasn't, but with my uv light I could clearly see the dye. Went to a recommended guy. He took it apart, cleaned the hoses where the o-rings sit. They were kinda dirty from leakage and stuff so he cleaned them up with a wire brush and 2000 grit. Recharged, and we both looked with his huge uv light. Bad condenser, drivers side lit up like a night light. Replaced the condenser with an aftermarket condenser. Recharged, STILL LEAKING from where the hoses go into the condenser. Vacuumed down the system... Removed hoses, checked o-ring fit. They are snug on the hoses and have some resistance when plunging the hoses back in. STILL LEAKING Albeit much less. Has anyone run into this? What gives? I'm 360.00 into this this week...
Evil flange!!

If you told them that's what you wanted, no wonder they told you it wasn't available. There's not supposed to be a hose that goes just from the condenser to the "dryer".
You should have a suction/discharge manifold/hose assembly which goes from the compressor to both the condenser and to the accumulator (Motorcraft YF3091) plus a liquid line of which there are two versions: YF3038 (w/out aux AC) or the YF3094 (W/aux AC).
All appear to be available both from Ford or aftermarket (4 Seasons).

The one from the compressor is available- the other.. Discontinued. At any rate, get this, went to the mom and pop, we used a sniffer. It picked up the scent. He pulled it apart again and was going to put 2 orings on. He decided to just try one more time before doing something silly he said. Wellllllll after 45 mins.. No leak... After 3 hours no leak. Beyond frustrated. Maybe the gremlin left!

I could just cry. Seriously. So, we got the condenser replaced, fixed the leak at the condense manifold, than the compressor seal let go. Brought the ex back to the guys who fixed the condenser. He says 395.00 compressor and new accumulator, come Friday. I did. Replaced compressor no problem. The accumulator? Should have never been cracked open. After 12 hours and getting ford o-rings, the thing is still leaking at the union that screws together. Not just a little leak, I mean oil is dripping out of it. I can't win. Why is this union flange leaking!? Has anyone had any similar issue with an aftermarket accumulator? I drive this truck all day for my new job, I need ac here in SC...

I think the hoses are ok. They are not damaged or scored.
Ok. Ford Accumulator purchased and installed. Aftermarket torn out and thrown on the floor. New ford o-rings installed on every fitting but the main flange on the accumulator because they don't have one in stock and it's no longer available but that's ok... It did not leak from there before. Sucking the system down and hopefully when we charge it... NO LEAKS!
Crossing fingers!
