I used the original mounting points with my seat base, at the rear the base is bolted to the rear cab mount plate, the front of the base also mounted to the original mounting point has a plate up against the floor board which is also sandwiched between the cab floor brace. If it was good enough for the Ford engineers it's good enough for me.
