few quick questions
hey ya'll yeah i'm new and have a few quick questions. I drive a 2003 Ranger XLT 4x4 and was wondering what upgrade suggestions any has for mild trail use. Also does anyone sell any after market skid plates(front, gas tank, transfer case) for the new ranger? And lastly does anyone in hampton roads know of any local trails?

If your truck doesn't have the factory off-road package, then you have zero skid plating underneath which in my opinion is stupid on Ford's part. But, about the easiest skid plating you will find is to go to the dealer and buy the front skid plate, transfer case plate, and gas tank plate. Those will all bolt right up to your truck. The front plate is around $180, don't know about the others because my truck already had them. There are not many aftermarket skid plates out there unless you buy the lift kit that goes with them.
