Did you ever check the wires going to the VSS? If I remember correctly you were having speedometer issues also. Ever since I read back in 05 from kwikkordead that an ABS module that is gone bad will never have other issues. If you have other issues it is the VSS or the wires to VSS. It has held true up to this point!
correct. including the brakes. if you apply them gently they work . if you need to stand on them they freewheel.
i have 2 spare units from gas trucks with vacuum brakes, but they are completely different from what the diesel hydroboost system uses.
arghhhh!!!!
this truck is really starting to get on my nerves.
i had to move it to fix a flat on a car and when i parked it on a driver side downhill slant, the ABS light went out.
what the heck? so i popped the hood and i can wiggle the plug on the module.
either the screw on the plug is loose or bad, the nut on the module is bad, or the plug into the module is bad.
so more diagnosis is needed. for now it is working with a small piece of wood wedging the plug into the module.
