Transfer Case Nuetral?

I have a 92 Ranger 4X4. Is it possible to put the transfer case in nuetral so it can be towed?

Simply put the tranfer case in 2wd and place he transmission in neutral.

Transfer Case Nuetral?

Only Rangers with manual transmissions or manual transfer cases can be towed with the wheels on the ground. Do not tow the Ranger with an automatic transmission in neutral, you will fry the transmission in just a few miles.

Transfer Case Nuetral?

Thanks! It is a four speed with overdrive 4X4, so it should be in good shape to be a 'toad'. I had heard two different stories about towing the 4X4, one good...one bad. Thanks...
