Dave's and Drew's both look good, and both show what great craftsmen they are. I would never attempt it even if I wanted to chop mine because it would end up looking like the one that started this thread. I could do it with wood, but not with metal.

Maybe Drew, not me!
I would attempt it but have never done it, that work is being done by a friend who has done may chops. He already learned how not to do it, I will learn someday on a practice junk vehicle.
We are so lucky here on FTE to have expert craftsman in all aspects of working on these trucks including several master body men, paint men, engineers, electrical guys, tire guys, glass guys, welding guys, motor guys, rear end guys, radiator guys, wood working guys, upholstery guys, etc, etc.. And besides being very experienced in there particular area of specialty, they all are always willing to go out of there way to assist the rest of us that have nothing but a desire to learn. If you have ever visited other sites, you know it is not always like that, some folks would rather argue with each other or have a laugh at someone's expense, rather than offer sincere help to the new guy who is in over his head on something he is doing. OK it's 1:00 am and I tend to get a little sentimental at this time of the day so Ill just say. Rock on my friends, your all great, and you all have helped me every step of the way on my truck. Good night ("PS" No I don't drink)
