Scrape the muck off the axle to read its Bill of Material (BOM) number.

Then go to the tech info compilation, linked in my sig below, and use the link to Dana-Spicer's tech library to decode the numbers.

If I recall correctly, it's like the 9th of 10th reference manual up from the bottom of their page.

Looks like a rusty D60, follow HIO's guidance and here is another D60 info spot, as back up.

BillaVista.com-Dana 60 Front Axle Bible Tech Article by BillaVista

Actually all that gunk works like a rust preventative. lol.

Should of got the rear D60, matching gear ratios...You should never just get the good stuff and scrap the rest...you will regret it. I know I did and therefore I will never scrap one again.

There is ton of parts on there to sale....tons. SC dent chrome, NO reproduced by no one. Those are flip open SC windows, race trac chrome, fender and cowl badges. Dash wiring, SC roof liner ring. Mirrors, steering column, steering box, headers, rear sump oil pan. OEM sway bar frame links (never mind I see you cut those)......front leaf spring hangers.

I'm gonna pull the trim and windows and badges too then

Reason I cut away bar links was they were welded and extended ones. Not oem.

The lightbar is gone to a neighbor kid for free. He just had to take it off lol

I appreciate the help. Im very new to the dents. I'm very experienced in the 80-86 and 92-97.

I actually just got my dads and grandpas truck back a couple weeks ago. Needs a frame off resto like we did on our other two trucks. It's a 77 f250 4x4 reg cab long bed. 400m automatic. Grandpa ordered it new. He passed when my dad was 16 so he had it then sold it a year before he died when I was 6 to my cousin. Finally pryed it out of my cousins hands.

If you have a place to store it and it will be easily accessibly I would keep it because there is always some one on the WTB FORUM that needs a connector, small piece, part ect..elec harness part. But not everyone has the space available.

Cool story on the new truck.

Did'ja know (probably not) that these hinge and latch parts are the same as 1972/80 Pinto/Bobcat station wagons?

Their quarter windows pop open just like the Super Cab quarter windows.

Here's a coupla pics for your 'collection.'

Upper: 1974/79 Super Cab with/without movable (pop out) quarter windows.

Lower (lower pic): 1973/79 Pinto/Bobcat station wagon (body style 73) movable quarter window parts.
