Bronco suggestions

I'm looking into a cat-back for my 96' Bronco, 302. Something that has a nice low end, big-block rumble, without much humming crap on the highway (wind and tire noise are plenty for me). I really like the dual side exit, but also have been checking out the Gibson single exit. Not looking to spend gobs of cash either. Extra power would be nice too. Any suggestions?

well you probably will not see a huge increase in power with just chaging the muffler. If you want a nice rumble, i would go with flowmaster 40's (not delta flows!) or even lowder, glasspacks. if you want a nice tone i would go with the flowys. If you want it to be a dual exit exhaust, its going to be spendy. if you are budgeting i would just get your own piping and rent a pipe bender, and do just a single exit behind the tire.

How's the highway volume on the 40's? I think I might end up getting the duals anyway, you don't see too many Broncos with that setup and man it looks and sounds good.

I am about to go with a Maganflow...sounds great and the interior noise isn't def'ning like flows are. plus they are straight thru desgin nothing to get in the way makes for great flow.

I just want to be able to hear the radio and talk to someone in the passenger seat. I also don't want it to sound like I'm racing everytime I accelerate at a normal relaxed speed. I want that big-block sound, the kind you can "grunt" at people going through the parking lot, which returns to a low gurgle. Maybe I'm too picky. Any other suggestions? Do you think the 40's fit that description?

heh, its hard to cover both the nice agressive bigblock grunt without it being loud. but if you are running cats of anykind before the mufflers, i dont think it will be too loud. I would say in my opinon if you want that kindof tone glasspacks or 40flowys is what you want. talk around to other peoples setup. there are many other setups that will sound good too, thse are just the mufflers that i would get.

I put a glasspack on my truck, and with the dual cats, It's still to quiet. If you want a real loud exhaust you'll need a high flow cat.
