need an engine control module ??
I have a 7.3 diesel (of course :-) 1997 4X4, with banks rebuilt turbo
and intercooler, DL chip, level 1 injectors,
engine light stays on and the mech says in showing low voltage in the
left bank, replaced the glow plugs, upgraded the wiring harness,
and he says I need a 800.00+ engine control module ...
suggestions ?????
I replaced one before because the banks chip shorted out the original
module, so replaced it, and the banks chip with the DL tuner system.

I had the diode go bad along with the IDM on my 97. My trucks check engine light flashed as did my glow plug wait light.
As far as chips go I have only heard good things about TS 6 position. I installed it on my truck, and I love it. Installing it was kinda fun though. A whole lot of cleaning, and they you have to find a way to keep the chip from separating from the ECM.
