Can't help ya on the jasper although I don't think you would go wrong they have been around for a while.
I did receive info the other day that autozone.com or your local autozone offer a 351 longblock for $745 I went to the site and sure enough there it was. My thoughts were that a person could have the heads mildly ported and polished and install a nice street cam for a couple of hundred so that would probably make a good warmed over street motor for about a thousand without figureing in tax and shipping but then again it shouldn't be too bad, who knows, just thought I would pass that on.
