Headlights
I have a HID kit in my ex and I noticed my front right headlamp out. I then started smelling like something burning. I popped the hood to find the hid box smoking. Needless to say I am ripping it out tomorrow. What's everyone using nowadays, I am going back with a standard bulb. I have the 02 style in my truck

So far, I have read almost nothing good about the HID kits on here, and this adds to it.
I know there are a few members on here putting LED lights in on some of the various housings that work that seem to be really happy.

I have the retro-solutions digital kit that's been in their 5 yrs, but it's smoking now when I cut my lamps on. Figured I would try something different

I know the Harley lights are pretty awesome looking. I don't know what to recommend because your signature is so blank.
Are you wanting to go with an aftermarket HID kit, or do you want to go back to the OEM style?

I am using Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in mine. They work pretty good and bright for night time driving. Bulbs are a 9007.

I just put in some NAPA. Maximum distance to see how they are, I might try those if they don't work out

An $80 , 5min install that keep the low beams on when you go to high beams. It makes a world of difference. You can test to see how you like it buy just holding the flasher arm back BUT don't do it that way instead as a solution, you'll burn it up inside the column
