I have seen a lot of 64's with the 292 that have a different radiator than mine has. Were there 2 radiators in 64? All the ones I have seen other than mine have a radiator like the 65 and 66's have. Mine has a rounded tank on top.

I had the same one on my truck originally, I bought a replacement because mine was leaking and I got the square one from a guy I bought it from. It bolted right on, but definitely a different style; but it is stamped "64" on it... so there must have been a couple different styles.
Something I have wondered about for years actually, A old mechanic told me a very long time ago (70's) my 63 F250 with a 292 y block had a T-bird radiator and not a truck radiator. He added it wouldn't be a problem unless working the truck heavy in a hotter climate than the Colorado Rockies. I have wondered ever since if they ran out of radiators and made an assembly line substitution. Regardless it has not been an issue
F100/250 & F350 with single rear wheels use the same radiator.
F350 with dual rear wheels use a different radiator.
But, who knows if the radiator is the original, or not...after 50+ years have passed by?
If I did not know the history of this truck that is what I would believe. But since I got this truck from my father in law who ordered it new and I know the complete history as I have all documentation of work performed on this truck since new. I know it has not been replaced. I have however seen radiators that are identical to what I have in 63 trucks. Is it possible that since this truck was built in 63 that it may have had a overstock 63 radiator in it? Also do you have a parts breakdown showing the radiator?
There's no pic of a specific radiator. A generic F100/700 pic is shown that also includes a radiator support, upper/lower hoses, fan belt, water pump, water pump pulley and etc.
Pics in parts catalog illustrate parts & their specific basic Ford part numbers. Basic numbers are used by parts guys to look up the complete part numbers and their applications.
The two 292 radiators, one for F100/250 & F350 w/SRW, t'other for F350's w/DRW were used on all 1961/64's, not just on 1964's only.
1961/63 parts are listed in the 1957/63 truck catalog. 1964 parts are listed in the 1964/72 truck catalog.
My radiator looks like it belongs there, but its to narrow to fit the core support, the PO made brackets to bolt it in. If you just glance at it, it looks correct, on closer inspection, you see it doesn't belong there.
Shadow I have seen trucks in the junk yard with the exact same thing that you are talking about. At first I thought someone fabbed in a smaller radiator because their old one crapped out, until I saw 4 or 5 more over the last 5 or 6 years so I looked closely and the plate that makes it wide enough was stamped fomoco on it. The mystery continues.
I'm not sure about 1964 or other years, but the radiators in each of my 1966 trucks has at least the month and year on the radiator. I can take pics of the info on them later. Each radiator is quite different from the others between the 2wd V-8, the 4WD 300 and the 4WD V-8. But, they all have the same relative info on them.
