Short in fuel system
I'm new to this board and to the Bronco II. I'm having a problem with my 86 2.9L Bronco II somewhere in the fuel-electrical system.
The symptoms are the truck stops running and won't start. Cranking the starter results in the #20 fusible link to start burning its insulation. Sometimes after sitting for a while the truck will start and run for about 20 minutes.
I have replaced both the low and high pressure fuel pumps and the fuel relay, thinking that any of these could be causing a intermittent short in the electrical system. So I'm thinking there is a wire short somewhere. Can anyone give me a clue on where to look?
Thanks,
ColoradoJOn
