Here is a link to the video... it is fine with the truck in Neutral-D2-D1-Lo, but in Reverse or Park there is a loud buzzing noise. I cant tell where it is coming from however.
I say have a friend get in it and put it in reverse until you can pinpoint it.. Sounds like a buzzer of some sort..
Yeah, that's next step. It does sound like a buzzer... something for like to alert people your backing up... but its not really loud enough to hear outside the truck. Just didnt know if anyone else had a similar noise.
If I were going to hook up a backup warning, it would be tied into the neutral safety switch or the backup lights. Not sure if this year has the lights, but in either case, it might be worthwhile to look at those switches/wiring to see if they've been modified. Sorry, not sure if the safety switch is on the column in 64 or down at the transmission.
I'm assuming that this happens with the motor off, so the noise is definitely not coming from the transmission.
