EGR HELP!
I did a KOEO test using a code scanner, and it came back with a code 31. what does this mean? i have a 1989 F-150, 4.9l, 300-6. The code said something about the voltage is below minimum standard. Is it the voltage coming from or going to the egr valve? thankx for any help.

EGR HELP!
It means the Evp Sensor signal is less than .2 volts . The Evp is preloaded when attached to the egr valve . If the egr valve is not closing all the way it will set KOEO Code 31 . Remove the egr valve & check to make sure its closing all the way , They get a buildup of carbon a lot of times that will hold them open a little . Thats the first step & usually solves the problem . Make sure all the wiring to the Evp sensor is secure too . After inpsecting & cleaning the egr valve , clear the codes , drive the truck until it reaches O/T & recheck for any codes .
