Hello everyone. I am hoping someone out there can help me with my truck. I purchased it and it runs well. I have replaced the timing cover, with gaskets, and some other work and trying to work away at the other little faults of this truck. Currently I am working on the previous owner has butchered the starting circuit wiring. He installed a push button switch in place of the normal ignition switch. I am not sure why, but that is what I have. The wire for the start coil is no longer there, it is just a wire running from the start push button direct to the coil. The ignition switch red wire with blue tracer has a vampire splice installed to provide juice to it. I have been trying to track down where the wire may have gone and right now it looks like it was just cut out and pulled. I don't know where on the engine to retrace the wire back to. The coil wiring is all hacked up as well, red with tracer is cut and spliced to white with tracer, and all sorts of non sense. I would be willing to just replace the whole harness if I had one.

 

 

Thank you so much! I also went to pick a part and pulled a complete engine harness that has the injection, ignition distribution, and temp connections. Only 32 dollars. Going to clean it and if it isn't good enough I will piece something together based on those schematics.
