I'm getting ready to install a CB in my 2002 F25O and would like to avoid using a cigarette lighter adapter plug for power. Could someone give me information on the proper way to tie into the fuse panel? Or for that matter any other good ideas (it will be mounted on the center console)
I would like to add a CB also. How/where do you pass the wires through the firewall? The only place I could find is one of the grommets under the steering column. It looks like I could pull the grommet out, make a slice from the edge to the through hole, lay the wires in there, and seal that up with some silicone?
I haven't made it that far just yet, temporarily running power through the cig lighter, once installed I realized that channel 17 is dead, so now I gotta run back to the radio shop and do a little fussin' .(Anyone have any ideas as to what could cause just one channel to not work?(cobra 29 NW ST) ). If you do find an ideal place how about posting it
