Rust Attack!

My 2015 baby is under attack...just is gathering behind the front bumper. I know that Ontario uses a lot of salt on the highways but this just does not seem normal to me for a new vehicle. Surprisingly, when the dealership looked at it they were very surprised and said it definitely was not normal. Of course, Ford Canada felt that it was perfectly normal...
Is anyone having the same issues?

I have a 2015 and I am in Alaska. I have surface rust like that all over.... Luckily we don't use salt or that really nasty brine stuff. I monitor it and unfortunately, until it is rust through Ford (at least Ford USA) won't do anything about it.

Mine did that too.
It's my tow loop that's bugging me right now though. I used a chain on it to drag a downed tree off the trail last year, chipping the chrome plate. Looks like crap now, going to have to do something about it.....

MY 2010 did that also. I assume my 2015 will also be the same.
This chrome ain't the chrome that was on my dad's cars in the 60's and 70's.

Everyone should go to Amazon, search for rigging or choke straps and get something to use on the tow hooks so the chain can stay away from the bumper.

My 2011 looks like that, but I'm surprised to see it on a 2015...

Hey Jethrone,

I understand where you're coming from. Send over a PM with the case number, or VIN and your phone number. I'll take a look at your case with Ford Canada and see how to best assist.

I use straps for this very reason.

True. The straps are lighter and easier to handle and store.

Same

Its the same on my 09. I did not get the chrome package because of the problems with the 09. Paint seems to hold up better then chrome.

I live east of San Diego so there no road salt.

I have so many chains floating around. The DOT doesn't smile on straps holding skidloader, Mine Exes and other earth moving equipment on trailers.

But I do have straps for when I haul hay.
