I bought a Viper 5706 off Amazon and had it installed at a local installer. Installer said he can't guarantee the product since I bought it elsewhere. I figured it shouldn't be a problem and said ok with the install. all of the functions are operating correctly but the I get a false alarm after about minutes that is telling me the door/trunk was opened. the installer seems to thinkthat I have faulty pin switches(he is not sure and wants to charge to look into it), he said it is very common on this truck. also intermittently the rear door will not lock, I know now that i need to fix it but wanted to get your thoughts on if there was other stuff i should fix. I tried looking through AE to see if it could tell me something about the locks but didn't find anything.
I'm hoping that someone here has some insight on what the fix would be. I trust you guys first hand experience more.
The door triggers need to have isolation diodes installed. Any installer should have used dual isolation diodes to prevent false alarms on Ford Trucks . Check the rear lock actuator clean and oil or replace the actuator, the problem with my rear actuator didn't show up until I installed the Viper remote start.

Same here, my rear actuator started acting up when the alarm was installed. I'll probably just replace it for peace of mind.
