I have a 1984 6.9 and i was driving it running just fine and I went to go park it, I left it in 1st gear and turned my truck off, I have a manual fuel shut off and I went to go start it and It won't even crank over. Anybody know what's wrong?
As in, the starter won't turn the engine? Or it turns it but doesn't fire up? Please explain. Also give us some detail on your "manual fuel shut off" how do you have that set up?

I think its the starter because when I go to turn the fuel on the engine won't turnover, the fuel sthehut off just cuts the fuel from the engine its just a button you push to turn it on and off
So your fuel shut off is still electrically operated, correct? Or do you have a truly mechanical fuel shut off of some sort?
Could well be the starter or cables. Could even just be dirty connections. Could be a lot of things. We still don't have just a whole lot of info with which to help you.
Check the clutch switch; the '83-'86 design is awful. It's supposed to "self-adjust", but it's a joke. I find I have to let the pedal up off the floor just slightly, maybe 1/2", to get the switch to close.
Could also be the ignition switch, the relay on the fender, or any of the associated wiring. Do you hear any sort of click when you turn the key to START? (Ignore any click you hear when you turn the key to RUN.)
