1999 Ranger transfer case motor hardware
Hello folks. I recently purchased a 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 from a friend of mine. The automatic trans was removed and a 5 spd. standard was installed in it's place. My question here is that I've got the shift on the fly 4 wheel drive and the motor has also been removed. I got a new motor to install on the transfer case but I don't know what sized bolts it takes to install it to the transfer case. Any help will be appreciated. Many thanks.

Well, I know it's a metric thread on the metric bolt, so start there.
Find the metric bolt that fits thru the hole on the motor and that's a good chance that it will fit the holes in the transfer case. They do make them standard these days.
Used to be each Automobile Manufacture would make their own nuts and bolts.
Then SAE got them all to standard, then they went metric, then they went.
