water pump pulley problem

water pump pulley problem

can any of you kind folks tell me how i can remove the pulley from the water pump on my 1998 ford v10. i have everything else off except this pulley i have the four bolts out and it looks like it is pressonto the water pump; i have tried to tap it with a hammer and i have a pulley puller on it but it does not want to come off any ideas

Theres lots of water pump vids on youtube, those pulleys can be a bear to remove, most auto part places rent removal pullers.

hey thanks jonesg i watched a couple of those and realized that the pulley was simply pushed onto the shaft and mine was obviously rusted on so i soaked it with pb blaster and took a piece of wood and a bfh and off it came this is the greatest site for newbies thanks a lot
