79 F-350 2WD 4 Link conversion

Ok, so after cruising through the forums and searching all over the internet I have bagged the idea of keeping it mild with my truck. I was previously going to just cut the frame and weld on the entire 4WD front end from a similar year truck but have decided to lift my 2WD using a 4 Link in the rear and 3 Link in the front with crossover steering and if I need to replace my crossmember I will use a tubular one.

I will also be installing a built 429 but am still weighing my optiond for trans and X-fer case since I primarily run diesels in everything so any thoughts there would be appreciated also.

Has anybody ever done this and are there any factors I'm not considering? I plan to lift it around 12" so I can fully articulate a 40" Pitbull Rocker tire. Does anybody know what besides the steering and taking out basically everything Ford installed on the truck would be involved?

Thanks!

Read through these for background:

2WD to 4WD Conversion
4WOR Project: 4x4 Conversion - Three-Link Conversion, Coilovers, Dodge NP205, GM Dana 44
FTE Thread: Quadrazer's F350- 2WD to 4WD Conversion...
Four Wheeler: Project Two-By Four (4WD Conversion)
Four Wheeler: Three-link Front Suspension & Coilovers

Go with a Dana 60 in the front.

Gotta think about over/under springs...... maybe a 150 on the bottom and then a 225 or 250 on top for those big hits.
