Front door panels Please help

Hi,
I just bought a 94 Explorer XL and need new Door pulls. the problem is that I cant find the right type. I have looked all night for this part. All the pics that I have seean regarding 91-94 Front doors show a totally different door panel.
Is there a way to post a pic for you guys to look at and tell me what is going on?

Front door panels Please help

Since you have an XL, do you have manual crank windows? If so, that's the problem. Explorers w/o power windows (few and far between) had a slightly different designed door panel. This means it will be harder for you to find the right part, but I'm sure they're still out there. BTW, the interiors on the 95's were redesigned, so you'll have to look at 91-94 models. Good luck

Front door panels Please help

I own a 91 XL and can tell you that the door pulls for the manual window version can be ordered as a seperate item from the dealer (I know because I have ordered 2 sets of them, front and rear doors). They are around 50 bucks each and easily replaced. One thing I did notice was that the front right side (passenger) was about $5 cheaper than the drivers side. Now I wonder why that was?

Interior Pull handle

Hello,

I read through this thread, and wanted to inquire where you were able to purchase the interior pull handles for the 91-94 Explorer XL. I have a 93 Explorer XL, and all four of the pull handles have broken. I have been able to find three replacements working with a local dealer, but have not been able to find one for the front passenger door (interior color is gray).

The ones the the dealer found for me were quite expensive ($85 each). I have seen many aftermarket replacements for the XLT model, but not for the XL.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

armrest-XL NO MORE

Ford dropped all the xl panels and armrests as of this summer, dealer tried to get me some and all Part numbers are obsoleted.
Thanks, Ford!
ANYHOW, the xlt/sport panel with power windows yes, with manual windows no, believe me I have been trying everything to get them. a 89-90 Bronco II armrest may fit though. I am trying to find any and will post if I can find a wrecked XL with good door panel.

Check ebay and do a search on 'explorer handle'. This may help.

Guess I joined the club on this one.

I also need one for my 91 XL, driver's door tho. I am having the same problem, all replacements are for the XLT. I was thinking of replacing all 4 panels with ones from an XLT and then putting in power windows and locks with aftermarket kits, but its cold here already and I don't have the time. eBay comes up nill everytime I look, and I do look daily.

If anyone can post the part numbers, I'd greatly appreciate it. I did find a site where I can get ones for the 2 door XL, they're under $40 each, but I am not sure if they will fit the 4 door XL. There's an old Ford dealer that I know of that has some old inventory, if I can match the part numbers up, maybe I can be able to hook the whole lot of you up!

Place your orders........

Hello ejscarfo,

The part number that I was given was F3TZ7824100AAY. If you could get some of these, it would be fantastic!!

XL armrest

that's the same part number the dealer shows as obsolete, add me to your list if anybody can find some Ill take one The 2 and 4 door shows to be the same (front of course only) in Ford's parts book.
Thanks!
By the way I have found them still listed on some Ford dealer's web sites for parts but they have all responded that they are
obsolete.

OK, thanks for the number. I'll make a phone call Monday and see what I can come up with. I'll let everyone know what's available.

E-mail sales@fordpartsnetwork.com and inquire about the part you need. They have both LH & RH front door pulls.
