05 f150 4x4 5.4 triton engine swap

hey guys - thanks for your time.
I'll try to make this easy for yall...
lil brother got a 05 f150 lariet with a 5.4 - literally on the trip home from buying it started knocking...... I towed him home and he told me to keep it for myself..... But I wanna surprise him and fix it for him ( we have both had bad luck lately ) I wanna bring back some of his luck.... Anyway - I got a 2000 ford excision 5.4 rwd - engine has 30k on it but has a cracked spark plug well other then that it runs fine........ The excision it self is just getting worse and worse - back glass busted out - passenger door messed up and so on- more then I wanna spend right now.....

My question is- will the 5.4 00 excision swap with the 5.4 in the 05 f150....? What would it take?

How about the head? Would the passager side head swap??? If not no biggie- I can get a good one from a salvage yard for 25$ ( kinda Iffy on using a head from a knocking engine anyway)

Thanks for your time - God bless!

My guess is some would be ok, but the two engine years are similar but in design and thought but different wiring and vacuum points and such. As far as the head swap, not sure they would, but this is only a hunch

So no official word on what might have to be changed... Was hoping someone would say it's not or is a big deal!
Thanks for your reply bud!

It won't swap over. The 05 engine has 3 valve heads and the 00 engine has 2 valve heads.
