Tranny issues, upgrades/suggestions
Mine started acting up last night on the way home from the races. It went to shift into 4th and just went right back to 3rd. OD light flashed so i pulled the codes, one was PO733 the other tranny code was 3-4 shift failure(cant remember code). Fluid smells burnt, so I know its time to rebuild, truck has 149k and I tow with it all the time. Tranny has a vavle body, not sure what brand was in the truck when i got it.
Suggestion on torque converter, and upgraded hard parts, the guy that is doing the build said it needs a shift solnoid pack upgrade, and that it probaly broke a snap ring that is prone to fail and that they make a redesign/upgrade for it.
My truck is a tow rig, only runs on 60hp tow and 80E.
