Just a heads up.
A1967 ash tray will not fit into the 68-72 inner guild bracket all the way since the 67
tray door is at a different angle and will hang outward about haft way not closing up flush to the dash.

I don't know if just the roller bracket would work or not tho.

I found your bracket and bearings. I had collected this ashtray back in 1985 so the bottom of the tray is "not so pretty good".
PM me where to send it

The only time i stress is when it won't fire off.

If it has girl parts or tires, its gonna give you problems...

Since this topic is about the bearing slide for the ashtray I thought I would ask, what grease do you guys use for your slides?

I use a light coat of the heavy white grease same as used on the brake backing plates shoe resting pads. & star adjusters threads.

I use to use paraffin base wax tho.

I got tired of the fingernails-on-chalkboard sound so I took a dab of high temp bearing grease and pushed it into the grooves. Problem solved.

Sorry. I checked but my extra ash tray is gone. No where in my parts stash boxes. I prolly gave it to another FTEer.

I am pretty sure that I have one. I will check when I get home in a couple of hours and let you know. I remember reading this thread when it first started, visited a JY for other parts and got the ashtray because it was fresh on my mind.

I doubt you'd be stepping on anyone's toes. Poor dude asked back in May and still don't have them.

Maybe it's cuz he's in Germany.

Don't you guys have junk yards over in germany?
