Having a problem finding the right belt diagrams for a 2000 F53 stripped chassis in a motor home and the dealer has been no help even after spending a bunch on parts
Thanks, That is close the only thin mine has another idler pulley between generator and power steering pump not sure that matters cause it would be riding against the outside of the belt.
I had the same issue with a 2000 E350 church bus with V10 some years ago.
The belt broke on the road and I found that is was not the same size even, nevermind the Ford factory belt routing that was on the engine compartment label. The problem is that once it is sent out to the motorhome manufacturer, the belt components and routing are almost always modified.
I ended up reasoning it out myself and then drawing up and laminating a new belt diagram and putting it in the engine compartment. It seems this was a major oversight of the bus manufacturer, but of course their main emphasis is just to sell a new bus.
Think I have it figured out only thing is the temp. still seems to start and climb on the hills didn't go into the red today when I got it back together. went up over 1/2 way on the gauge going up hill and not a very long hill even coming up my drive way. Then I stalled it with the brakes and trans and it climbed right up almost to the red. This is after replacing the water pump, fan clutch, belt, adjuster and the thermostat and a new sender.
