Didn't realize I could go look if I wanted to... I don't want to now though, the moment is ruined. Thanks Stewart
That tells me you pulled a Stewart and did a speed read and missed important info!

Whats the deal with the "long thread" plugs? Can those be used in the triton with the right insert?
Im doing this same repair this week and am getting the motorcraft SP-479 spark plugs the ones made for the 6.8L. I was wondering if i should get longer threaded spark plugs as well.
so im following this post and will post if i find anything out about this.
I did notice today the aftermarket plugs that were in the motor are threaded the whole length of the shaft up to the taper unlike the stock plugs. If I could find just a taper timesert with full threads I would go that route.
I thought these inserts are supposed to be stronger and will be able to hold the stock spark plug with no problems, and the full threaded inserts are only for curtain heads, the only thing I could see doing is the longer threaded spark plugs and adding full threaded inserts will cause the spark plug to sit deeper into the cylinder chamber possibly hitting the piston head, Im kinda confused about the whole longer thread thing I guess. Iv been reading too much on this topic over the past few days and am about to just throw the inserts in there and hope things work out.
