Getting all the final ingredient ready.
Went today and got the engine oil, power steering fluid and brake fluid, also put the new batteries in the charger, since they have been sitting for a whole year, tomorrow I will work on the exhaust system and go over all I done, this is so exciting.
Rotella t6 5w40 synthetic, preston dot 3 brake fluid and valvoline mercon V, just got what was besr in the many recommendations I found.
Batteries were at 25%, hopefully the charger will bring them back to 100%.

This question goes back to page 13 or 14. How does the fan and shroud line up with the body lifted? I know you were trying to get the bodylines straight.
Also, how about some detailed pics of the core support, and how everything went together?
Oh! And what have you fingered out about the AC condenser?

Well according to the ford dealership and what I could scrambled online, mercon V is what should be use for power steering fluid, so is that correct or is it something else supposed to go there?

youll be find in there... for my 04 the book actually only states any ATF is good for the PS and transfer case use.. i just wanted to make sure you werent going to be using that in the 5R110W transmission.. it is very particular on what goes in it.. would hate to see you do all this work just to have to pull the tranny because it burned up.

yea I took the linkage out and even though it was fully extended, it was still 1/2 inch short, I ended up cutting and extending the linkage, it it a little risky to be modifying things like that, but hey this whole truck is a Frankenstein anyway.
Not proud of my welding at all, but no weldimg shop would do it, since it was a liability for them, i ended up using an axle kin pin from the f100, i just cut the circular part of the linkage and pit the kin pin inside, and welded it all the way around.

The closer I I'm to started, the more hiccups I find.
So after finding out that the steering linkage was too short, I ended up modifying it, then the firewall hole for the linkage was way off, so I had to cut the hole bigger, and make a new plate to cover the bigger hole, just a mess.
The moral of the story is, measure and double measure.
Now i need to paint this thing and finally start this thing up.

That was my first thought, to call the drive shaft shop, since they deal with things like that all the time, but same answer, too much of a liability.
