T18 shift cover differences ????
I'm rebuilding a mid 80's T18 that I'm told, from the seller, came out of a pickup. 150 or 250 I don't know. I found a shift cover to replace mine but, it's from a bronco of similar vintage. In the ad, in the list of "compatible vehicles," it says it is not compatible with an F150 T18. So, what's the difference in the shift cover? Looks identical top and bottom. Only thing I can think of is that the height of cone for the shifter may be different.
Seller says the list of compatible vehicles in his ad is directly to FoMoCo.
Can anyone answer this for me? Thanks.

T-18 top covers should all be the same after '78. Its not a T-19 cover right? What position is reverse? 78ish and older have reverse up and over. '78 and newer have reverse over and down. The two top covers are not interchangeable. These guys are a jeep oriented company but were super helpful to me when I rebuilt my T-18 and I got the parts from them. Most T-18 transmission info on the web is from their site.
