panic alarm problem

Hi all, im having a problem with my panic alarm system... out of the blue the vehicle (2003 expy) starts blairing its horn,and lights flashing... it has no factory alarm other than the keyless system,changed the batterys in both remotes,but still has the same problem... this just started tonight so i'll be heading for the dealership tommorow

any one here have this problem before? TIA

Does this have the push button keyless pad on the door?

panic alarm problem

My guess would be a short in a door light switch. Switch is triggered, alarm believes someone opened a door, Blammo! (That's a technical term, BTW)

thanks for the relpys gents... yes the expy has the keyless pad on the door..but the prob has been fixed by the Ford dealership!

they went thru the whole system looking for any possible problems that may cause the alarm to trigger itself... ends up being a short in the remote itself..they set me up with a new one,reprogramed it,and we are back in action!
