I had a fuel leak the other day. The black fuel line return cap was cracked. I think it was cylinder 8 (as you are standing at the grill looking at the motor it was the rear most cap on the drivers side or closest one to the firewall. I have had problems back there before. Anyway i went and purchased a fuel injector install kit that has the o-rings,copper washers, return line and the black caps. I replaced the cap and put the injector line back on and its now leaking. It sprays right out of the top of the 5/8 nut. Between the line and the nut. I took it off many times. It seems seated correctly no gouges, nicks anything. Fuel injectes looks good too. I have a spare injector so i swapped them out and still have the same problem. Any idea on what to do? also what are these copper washers included in the kit for? Also if you think its the injector line can you point me into the direction to purchase one. Big box auto parts stores and rock auto come up with nothing. Also always guys thanks in advance for the help, again.
the copper washers go on the injector tips, you gotta pull the injectors out to get to them.
did you try tightening the nut on #8?
if you cant tighten it enough to stop leaking, and you tried a new injector, your injection line is bad.
may have to take it off and hit it with some sand paper, theres likely a gouge in it.
did you try to wiggle the line while tightening it? maybe its not seating?
if you dont have the injection line clamps on your lines, they can crack.
