I'm pretty sure the Internet connection that you see in the menu is really just a Bluetooth connection to your phone and by using this connection what really is happening is that the truck is using your phone as a modem to the Internet. So, it would impact your data plan on your cellular device. It is not using Internet via satellite.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's just a way to have an Internet hotspot in the cab of your truck for you and your passengers.

So far I have found that my Cell Phone provider (Vz) has managed to provide my good enough data coverage on most of the highways and freeways I am on that Pandora Radio runs without skipping hardly a beat...
Sirius on the other hand skips all the time - I gave up on it years ago and they still spam the crap out of me and call my cell phone to bother me.. Yes I have OPTED OUT of their promotions and calls, also on all the DO NOT CALL lists... If I could rip Sirius out of my truck without disabling the whole darned dashboard, I surely would...
At my cousin's house helping him on a HotRod yesterday- he had Sirius running half the afternoon at his house and it could not play for more that 10-15 seconds at a time without skipping a second or two.. Very annoying- I finally convinced him to turn on the regular radio station...
Sirius - you SERIOUSLY SUCK!!!
